The Belgian was strongly linked with a move to the Blues last summer. Ramires had just left the club and Conte was not a fan of Cesc Fabregas.

The Italian made a move for the player but he decided to stay at Roma. This forced Conte to look somewhere else as he signed Kante from Leicester City.

With departures of John Obi Mikel and Oscar, Chelsea are once again linked with Nainggolan. Conte is said to be interested to link up with the Belgian International this summer.

The 28-year old has had a wonderful season with the Serie A side. He scored 12 goals in 36 appearances across all competitions. This is most number of goals he has scored in a season.

When asked if he would join the Blues at the end of this season, he refused to rule out the move. He is open to a move to the Premier League and Chelsea seems to be the most likely destination.

Here is what Nainggolan had to say regarding a possible move to the Premier League (via Squawka) –

I watch it a lot. A lot of my team-mates play there. It’s the best league in the world.

We have to make choices in life. I am having a good season.

When the window opens, we will talk about it again. Yes. I talked to him (Conte). They were really interested and wanted me over there. That’s all I can say.

Being a dynamic midfielder, he will be perfect fit into Conte’s 3-4-3 formation. He is often deployed as a playmaker but has also being used as a defensive midfielder at Roma.

Conte is looking to build a Champions League winning side and will be pursing the Belgian in the upcoming window.

Manchester United and Arsenal are some of the Premier League clubs who are interested in the midfielder. It will be interesting if any of the clubs will be successful to lure the player to the Premier League in the coming window.
